Well, let me tell ya ’bout this young gal, Brooke Shields. I reckon she was just a little tyke when she started out in them movies. Real young, like eleven or somethin’. Heard tell she played this girl named Violet, and it wasn’t no happy-go-lucky story, that’s for sure. Sounded like a real tough time for a young’un.
Folks say she was somethin’ special, this Brooke. Pretty as a picture, they say, and talented to boot. Born a long time ago, May 31st, but I don’t rightly recall the year. Didn’t matter much to me back then, I was busy raisin’ my own young’uns and tendin’ to the farm.
This girl, Brooke, she got famous real quick. Everybody was talkin’ ’bout her. She was in magazines, on TV, everywhere you looked. Must’ve been kinda lonely for her, bein’ so famous and all. Heard she talked about it later, said it was “overwhelmin’” and she felt all alone. Can’t imagine what that’s like for a little girl.
- She was real tall for her age, even when she was just a young’un.
- Went and got herself a fancy education too, studied French and Italian, somethin’ like that.
- Got hitched a couple of times, first to that tennis fella, Agassi, then to some fella who writes for the TV.
Now, this Brooke, she wasn’t just actin’. She was a model too. You know, posin’ for pictures and such. Folks say she set the style for all them young girls back then. Made ’em wanna dress and look just like her. Reckon she was a real trendsetter, like they say.
She had herself a couple of daughters, last I heard. Rowan and Grier, I think their names were. Hope she raised ’em good, taught ’em right from wrong. It ain’t easy bein’ a mama, no matter who you are or how famous you get.
Brooke Shields, yeah, she was somethin’. A real beauty, they said. And smart too, even though she started out young in that movie business. Always seemed like she had her head on straight, even when all them cameras were flashin’ and folks were gossipin’. She just kept on doin’ her thing, and that’s somethin’ to admire, I reckon.

So that’s what I know ’bout young Brooke Shields. Not much, maybe, but enough to know she was somethin’ special. A real star, even when she was just a little sprout. And that’s the truth, as I see it.
She went to college too, imagine that. Got herself a degree in somethin’ fancy, French books and such. But she said she liked makin’ pottery best, said it helped her relax. Can’t blame her there, workin’ with your hands is good for the soul, I always say.
Anyways, that’s the story of Brooke Shields, as best as I can tell it. A young girl who made it big, but never forgot where she came from, I reckon. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of, no matter who you are or what you do.
