Alright, let’s talk about this Michael Kors fella and his fancy clothes show in New York City. I ain’t never been to one of them fashion things, but I heard tell it’s a big deal, like a county fair but with more sparkly stuff and less fried chicken.
So, this Michael Kors, he’s a big shot in the fashion world. Started way back when I was still chasing chickens in the yard, must be around 1981 or somethin’. He makes clothes for rich folks, but they say it ain’t as expensive as some of them other highfalutin brands. He wants you to look fancy without breakin’ the bank, I guess.
They had this big show, they call it NYFW, which I reckon means New York Fashion Week. Lots of famous people showed up, movie stars and such. Halle Berry was there, you know, that pretty gal from the pictures. They all sat in the front row, watchin’ the models strut their stuff.
- They had all kinds of clothes.
- Jackets, dresses made of that shiny stuff they call silk
- Big ol’ fur coats that look like they could keep you warm in a blizzard.
This year, Mr. Kors, he was all about the seventies. You know, back when I was a young gal, all that bell bottoms and big hair. He said he got inspired by some tough women from that time, like Tina Turner and Jane Fonda. Them ladies, they didn’t take no guff from nobody, and I guess Mr. Kors wanted his clothes to make women feel that way too.
Now, some folks say Mr. Kors, he ain’t been doin’ so good lately. Seems like he started makin’ his clothes too expensive, and the regular folks couldn’t afford ’em no more. And then he went and sold his company to some other big company, and folks got worried things would change. But from what I hear, this show was pretty good, so maybe he’s gettin’ back on track.
He showed a lot of romantic kinda clothes, flowy dresses and such. Not the kind of stuff you’d wear to muck out the barn, that’s for sure. But they were pretty, I gotta give him that. He likes beauty, this fella, pure and simple. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that, I always say.
He studied fashion in New York City when he was just a young fella, only 18 years old. That’s a long way from the cornfields, let me tell ya. But he made somethin’ of himself, that’s for sure. He got stores all over the world now, sellin’ his fancy clothes to folks who wanna look good.
And that’s about all I know about this Michael Kors and his fashion show. Sounded like a real hullabaloo, with all them cameras and famous people. Me, I’m happy in my overalls, but it’s nice to see what them city folks are up to sometimes. Fashion, they call it. Just seems like a lot of fuss over clothes to me, but hey, to each their own, I always say.
This show, it was for the spring and summer of next year, 2025. So, if you wanna be all fancy and stylish, you gotta wait a bit. Or, you know, you could just wear what you got and be comfortable. That’s what I do, and I ain’t complainin’.
