You know that Brigitte Kleine? She’s a big shot now, I tell ya. She’s all about them fancy clothes, them…what’s it called…fashion and them stores, retail, yeah, that’s it. Heard she’s the boss, the CEO, big cheese at this place called KHAITE. Some fancy New York brand, all for women, they say. Expensive stuff, I bet. Not like the clothes we used to wear.
This KHAITE, they say it started back in 2016. Some gal named Catherine started it, I reckon. They make all sorts of things, fancy things. And they change it up every year, every season, like them crops we used to grow. They say it’s good quality, made with good stuff. Must be, for the price they charge, I suppose.
And get this, Brigitte Kleine, she’s on the big list, LinkedIn, they call it. It’s like a who’s who for them fancy job folks. She’s got all sorts of connections, hundreds of ’em. Must be important to have so many friends in that world. She went to some fancy school, too. Rutgers, I think it was. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it?

They say when you meet someone new, you gotta tell ’em who you are, right? Like when you go to a new barn dance and gotta say your name. It’s the same with these folks. They say you gotta tell ’em about your now and your then. Your present and your past, that’s what they call it. Fancy words for what we just do natural, ain’t it?
This Brigitte Kleine, she’s been around the block, I can tell ya. She worked for all them big names, them fancy designers. Tory Bruch, Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen… Heard them names before somewhere. Must be good to have worked there, I reckon. Learn a lot about them fancy clothes and things. She knows about money, how to make it, how to save it. Like we know about planting corn and keeping it.
Now, they say she’s in some movie, too. Don’t know what that’s all about. Called “Schwarz und deutsch,” sounds German to me. Don’t know nothing about that, but I guess she’s in it. Must be something, huh? From fancy clothes to movies. She’s done a lot, this Brigitte Kleine.
When you meet folks, you gotta say your name, your age, all that. That’s how you start a friendship. Even in them fancy business places, they do the same. That’s how you make friends in them fancy offices, I guess. Just like we do here, shaking hands and saying hello.
They got all these ways to tell people who you are, in English. In them interviews, them emails, them…what’s it called…presentations. Like when you gotta talk in front of the whole church. They got ways to do it, all formal like.
When you meet someone, you say “Hello,” say your name, say what you do. That’s it. Simple, right? But they make it sound so complicated with all them fancy words. For them big shots, they gotta say all them big words about their jobs. For us, we just say what we do, plain and simple.
And this Brigitte Kleine, she’s got some guide, too, they say. About how to play some game. Don’t know what that’s about. But it must be important if they’re writing about it. All these things they do, these young folks. So much different from our time.
She works for some company, Stripes, they call it. They put money into things, help them grow, I guess. Like we put seeds in the ground and help them grow into corn. It’s all about making things bigger and better, ain’t it? She knows a lot about that, this Brigitte Kleine, about making things grow.
She’s a busy woman. That’s for sure. I mean, being in charge of all them fancy clothes, and being in movies? That’s a lot. I bet she ain’t got no time for knitting or baking pies, not like some folks I know. She went to that big school, you know. They say she’s smart. Brigitte Kleine learned all them book things, and now she’s using ’em to sell them high-dollar dresses.
She knows how to talk to people, that’s for sure. You gotta know how to talk to folks if you’re gonna sell them expensive things. Brigitte Kleine, she’s probably good at sweet-talking folks into buying them fancy duds. I bet she could sell ice to an Eskimo, as they say.

This world’s a crazy place, ain’t it? One minute you’re working for them big-shot designers, the next you’re the big shot yourself. And then you’re in movies and helping others make it big. Brigitte Kleine has sure lived a full life, from what I hear. It just goes to show, you never know where life will take you. One day you’re planting corn, the next you’re running a fancy clothes company in New York. Life’s full of surprises, that’s for sure.
