You know what? That florence griffith joyner nails, I gotta tell you about it. She’s that runner, the fast one. She run so fast, like a rabbit, whoosh! But her nails, oh boy, those nails! Long and colorful, like a rainbow, you seen it?
Back then, people, they use fake nails, you know? Stick ’em on. But not her, no sir. Hers was real. She say it herself, these are my own nails. Grow ’em long and strong, like bamboo. Not like these young folks today, always with the fake stuff.
Today, everybody talk about nail trends, nail this, nail that. But you see, back in the day, it was her. She make the long nails popular. She win all them medals, five of ’em, I think. Running fast, nails shining. She’s the best. A real champion, that one.

Now, I heard she don’t wear them long nails no more. Cut ’em short, I guess. Easier, you know. Life get busy, gotta take care of things. Can’t be fussing with long nails all the time, right? But before, she was wearing long and colorful nails when she win.
I remember, she wear pink ones, soft pink, like a baby’s blanket. And then some other colors, too, on the little finger, and the one next to it, like a party on her hand. She glow, that girl, she really glow. Florence Griffith Joyner, that’s her name, FloJo, they call her.
Now, these young girls, they got all sorts of things on their nails. Long ones, pointy ones, all the colors you can think of. Like that Cardi B, and some others. They put jewels, stickers, everything! It’s too much for me. But you know, they like it, so who am I to say?
I saw one of them talk about FloJo nails. They say she’s the one who started it all. They look up to her, these young ones. That’s good, you know. Remember the ones who came before. Learn from them. Respect them.
There’s this other girl, she run fast, too. Richardson, they call her. She got the long nails, too, and the hair, all different colors. She’s like FloJo, but different. Younger. It’s like a new generation, you see. But they all remember FloJo. Her nails, that speed.
And that Saweetie, she got some fancy nails, too. And Lizzo, oh, she’s a big one, but her nails, they’re something else. Everybody got their own style, you know. But they all kinda like FloJo, in a way. She was the first, I reckon. The first one with those long, beautiful nails.
I don’t know much about this nail art, they call it. Sounds complicated. Back in my day, we just paint our nails, maybe red, maybe pink. Simple. But these young folks, they do all sorts of things. It’s a whole different world now, I tell ya. But, if you ask me, FloJo nails, best nails. Simple, strong, beautiful, just like her. She win so many medals. A real hero.
You know, it don’t matter if you got long nails, short nails, painted nails, or no paint at all. What matters is what you do with your hands, what you do with your life. FloJo, she ran fast, she won medals, she inspired people. That’s what matters. But those nails, though, they sure were something, weren’t they?
I’m old, and I don’t know much about young people’s things. But I know FloJo is good. Her nails are good. She runs fast, and she is good. She is the best runner. Her nails are long and good. She wins because she is good.
