OK, so “Absolue” has been on my radar for a while. I kept seeing it pop up in different places, and the word just sounded so… fancy. Finally, I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

What is Absolue and Why Is It So Popular These Days?

First, I just looked up what this thing actually is. Turns out, it’s some kind of high-end skincare line from Lancôme. I saw the prices, and let me tell you, my jaw dropped. I mean, are these creams made of gold or something? But I’m 60 and thought, why not? I decided to try the foundation, hoping it would make me look like a million bucks, or at least, you know, a little less tired.

I ordered it online, and when it finally arrived, I was kind of excited. It felt like a special occasion just opening the box. I put some on, and honestly, it felt more like a moisturizer than a foundation. It went on super smooth and didn’t feel heavy at all.

    Here’s What I Noticed:

  • It covered up my age spots pretty well.
  • My skin looked more even.
  • I didn’t look like I’d just crawled out of bed, which is a plus.

But was it worth the hefty price tag? That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it? I’m still not sure. It did make me feel a bit more pampered and special, but I know there are other foundations out there that do a decent job for way less. I guess it comes down to what you value and what you’re willing to splurge on.

Some people might think it’s a total rip-off, and hey, I get it. But for me, at this moment, it was a fun little experiment. Will I buy it again? Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how long this one lasts and if I suddenly win the lottery. For now, I’m just enjoying feeling a little bit fancy. There are plenty who will say this is a waste of money but I’m just jealous if so!

In all honesty, it is tough to justify the cost but it worked for me. It did what I hoped it would do. My skin looked pretty good, not perfect. I guess you get what you pay for sometimes. If you decide to try, I hope it works as well for you.
