Okay, so, about that “Chanel President” thing. I was curious, you know? Like, who’s running the show over there? So I started digging, just to satisfy my own curiosity.

First, I was like, “Let’s see who the new guys are.” I found out this dude, Matthieu Blazy, became the new artistic director. Apparently, it’s a big deal in the fashion world. I read some article about it, something about Milan Fashion Week. I mean, I’m not that into fashion, but I thought, “Hey, that’s interesting.”
- Checked out who’s the new artistic director.
- Found out it’s Matthieu Blazy.
- Read a bit about him and his fashion background.
Then I got thinking, “Who’s the actual boss, though?” And that’s where things got a bit tricky. I saw a name, Leena Nair, pop up as the CEO. Took the job in 2022, I think. It said she’s in charge of the whole thing now. So, I guess she’s the top dog.
- Started looking for the CEO.
- Found Leena Nair’s name.
- She started as CEO in 2022.
But then there’s this other name, John Galantic. He was the president and COO for a long time, like, 16 years! He was in charge of running the U.S., and apparently, he left the company in June. So I guess he’s out of the picture now.
- Found out about John Galantic.
- He was president and COO for 16 years.
- He’s not with Chanel anymore.
I tried to find out who replaced John, and it looks like they picked someone from inside the company, a guy named Stephane Blanchard. He’s taking over the U.S. region in September.
- Looked for John’s replacement.
- Found out Stephane Blanchard is taking over.
- He’s starting in September.
So, here’s what I figured out:
Chanel’s got a new artistic director, Matthieu Blazy. The big boss is CEO Leena Nair. And the U.S. operations are getting a new leader, Stephane Blanchard, since John Galantic left. That’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. I was just curious, and now I know a little bit more about who’s who at Chanel. It was a fun little research project.
