Okay, so today I decided to make a purple brooch. I’ve been seeing these things all over the internet and thought, why not give it a shot? It seemed like a fun little project, and I had some free time on my hands. So here is what I did.

Gathering the stuff
First, I rummaged through my craft box and found some purple beads and some shiny stuff that I thought would work. I also grabbed some wire, a pin backing, and my trusty glue gun. I laid everything out on the table, like one of those cooking shows.
Getting Started
I started by bending the wire into a loopy, swirly shape. It wasn’t perfect, but hey, it’s handmade, right? Then, I started sticking the beads onto the wire. I used all sorts of purple ones. I added some glittery bits for some extra sparkle. My fingers got a bit sticky from the glue, but it was worth it.
Assembling and hoping for the best
Next, I attached the pin backing to the wire frame. This was a little tricky, and I almost burned myself with the hot glue a couple of times. I had to hold it in place for a while until the glue cooled down. I was really hoping it would hold because I didn’t want the whole thing falling apart the first time I wore it!
The final touches
Once everything was glued and set, I took a step back to look at my creation. It was kind of wonky and not exactly what I had pictured in my head, but it had its own charm. It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind piece, that’s for sure.
Showing it off
I pinned it onto my favorite denim jacket, and you know what? It didn’t look half bad. It added a nice pop of color and a bit of personality. I wore it out to the coffee shop, and a couple of people actually asked me where I got it. I proudly said I made it myself, which felt pretty good. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine.

- Made a purple brooch from scratch.
- Used beads, wire, and a glue gun.
- It turned out a bit wonky but unique.
- Got compliments when I wore it out.
- Felt good to create something with my own hands.
Overall, it was a fun experience. It’s not going to win any awards, but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon. Plus, I have a new purple brooch to add to my collection. Maybe I’ll try making another one soon, but maybe I’ll try a different color next time. It’s all about experimenting and having fun, right?
