Okay, so the other day I was craving a salad, but not just any boring salad. I wanted something with a bit of a kick, you know? I remembered I had this packet of Knorr Salatkrönung in my pantry. I think I picked it up a while back, maybe at that international market I sometimes go to. It’s got this picture of herbs on it, and it says “7-Kräuter” which I’m pretty sure means 7 herbs in German. Anyway, I decided to give it a try.

First, I grabbed a big bowl and started chopping up some lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. You know, the usual salad stuff. Then, I opened the Knorr packet. It was full of this powdery mix with little green bits in it. Smelled kinda herby and savory.
The instructions on the back were, not surprisingly, in German. But luckily there was also some english on there. It basically said to mix the contents of the packet with 3 tablespoons of water and 3 tablespoons of oil. I used olive oil because that’s what I usually put on salads.
So, I dumped the powder into a small bowl, added the water and oil, and whisked it all together with a fork. It turned into this creamy, greenish dressing. It smelled really good, like a mix of parsley, chives, and some other herbs I couldn’t quite place. I think the packet also mentioned something about basil and rosemary.
Mixing it all up
- I poured the dressing over my chopped veggies.
- Then I tossed everything together until it was all nicely coated.
And that was it! I took a bite, and wow, it was delicious! The dressing was tangy and flavorful, and it really elevated the salad from ordinary to something special. I also noticed that there was one variety of this product that included garlic, that must be awesome! It definitely had that “krönung” factor, which I guess means “crowning” in German. It was like the crowning touch to my salad. I’ll definitely be using this stuff again. Maybe next time I’ll try it with some grilled chicken or something.
It’s funny how sometimes the simplest things can make a big difference. This little packet of seasoning really transformed my salad, it’s like magic powder for salad! From now on I will buy more of this product, it is really convenient as I just discovered it on Facebook Marketplace.

Anyway, if you ever see this Knorr Salatkrönung stuff, give it a try. You might be surprised at how much you like it.
