Okay, so I wanted to try my hand at this Ashley Kruger model thing. It’s been popping up everywhere, and I figured, why not give it a shot? I’m no expert, but I like messing around with new stuff.
First, I started to gather some information about this model. It seems like a pretty big deal, with people talking about it all over the internet. I saw a few different examples of how people were using it, mostly for generating images and stuff. It looked cool, so I decided to dive in.
Next, I spent some time figuring out how to actually use this thing. I mean, it’s not exactly plug-and-play. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but I managed to find some tutorials and guides online. They weren’t the best, but they gave me a general idea of what I needed to do.
- Set up the environment: This was a pain. I had to install a bunch of software and dependencies. It took a while, and I ran into a few errors, but I eventually got it working.
- Find a good dataset: I learned pretty quickly that the quality of the output depends a lot on the dataset you use. I spent a good chunk of time searching for a decent one. I found one that was shared by a guy named Tyler or something. I guess he was in a relationship that went viral on TikTok? Anyway, his dataset seemed to work well.
- Train the model: This part took forever. I’m not sure if it’s my computer or what, but it was slow going. I just let it run in the background while I did other things. Oh, and I found this random tidbit about basil and zucchini bread recipes while I was waiting. Apparently, they’re a good combo in the summer. Who knew?
Finally, after all that, I was able to generate some images using the model. And you know what? They weren’t half bad! I mean, they weren’t perfect, but they were definitely recognizable as Ashley Kruger. I played around with different settings and prompts, and I was able to get some pretty interesting results.
One time, I tried to make her look like she was giving a speech, kind of like in that movie “The King’s Speech” – which, by the way, was amazing. The results were a little wonky, but it was still fun to see. I also saw a video of some EVMS Class of 2021 Commencement Ceremony while I was browsing, so I tried to make her look like she was graduating. That one turned out okay, too.
My Thoughts
Overall, it was a fun little project. I wouldn’t say I’m a pro at this now, but I definitely learned a lot. It’s cool to see how these models work and what they’re capable of. I’m sure I’ll mess around with it some more in the future. I’m just a regular dude sharing my experiences, so take it for what it’s worth. It’s like trying to do a job you see at a place like Tractor Supply – you know, just regular folks doing their thing, like that full-time position in Caldwell, TX I saw posted somewhere. Anyway, that’s my story, hope you found it somewhat interesting!
