Okay, so I’ve been seeing polka dots everywhere lately, and I finally caved and decided to try out that Veronica Beard polka dot dress I’ve had my eye on. You know, the one that all the celebrities seem to be wearing? Yeah, that one.
First off, I started by just looking at a bunch of pictures online. I saw a post from Veronica Beard’s Instagram account, it got over 700 likes I think. Then I saw that Savannah Guthrie wore a similar style on the Today show, which was a sign, it is a good design. I mean, if it’s good enough for the red carpet and morning TV, it’s gotta be good, right?
Scouting for the Perfect Dress
I browsed several online shops. I noticed it’s called the “Lex” dress. There are several similar designs, some are tops, some are skirts, and of course, I aimed at the dress directly. The one I really wanted was this red one with white polka dots. It’s got this cool vintage vibe, but it’s also kind of modern at the same time. Plus, it’s silk, which is my favorite.
The dress I found had these ruffles and a tassel, which I thought was a nice touch. It also had these pleats that made it look really flowy and, you know, expensive. I started to really get excited about it. I did not see a size listed, but I am not worried about it. I have confidence in my body!
Trying It On
When I received it, I couldn’t wait to try it on. The fabric felt amazing – so light and airy. I put it on, and it fit like a glove. Seriously, it was like it was made for me. It is perfect for me!
- The Fit: It was perfect. Not too tight, not too loose.
- The Style: Super cute. The v-neck was just right, and the short sleeves were perfect for the warmer weather.
- The Details: Loved the ruffles and the tassel. They added a little something extra to the dress.
Wearing It Out
I decided to wear the dress out to brunch with my friends. I got so many compliments! Everyone wanted to know where I got it. One of my friends even said I looked like a celebrity, which made me laugh. I felt so confident and comfortable in it. It was definitely a good purchase. I mean, it wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny. I am so happy that I can share my experience with everyone!
I am going to wear this dress everywhere. To brunch, to dinner, maybe even to a wedding. I might even try to find some other polka dot pieces to add to my wardrobe. This dress has officially made me a polka dot convert. I can not wait to wear it again!
