Okay, so, I’ve always been a huge fan of Diane Keaton. She’s just so cool, you know? And her hair, it’s always been kind of a thing. She’s had a bunch of different styles, but they’re all so her.

So, the other day, I was feeling a little bored with my own hair, and I thought, “Why not try one of Diane’s looks?” I mean, she’s like, a style icon, right? It might be fun to copy her style.

I started by digging through some old photos online. I wanted to find a style that I thought I could maybe pull off. She’s had everything from, like, super short and choppy to long and flowy. I ended up picking a few that looked kind of doable.

  • The Classic Straight: I see a lot of pictures of Diane with this simple straight hair, it is really her style. She’s been carrying her natural grey hair in medium length. It’s pretty basic, but it just works, you know?
  • The Bob: She’s had a bunch of different bobs over the years. I found one that was kind of chin-length with some layers. It looked kind of chic and maybe a little easier to style than some of her other looks.
  • The Shag: This one was a little more daring. It’s got, like, lots of layers and it’s kind of messy, but in a cool way. I thought it might be fun to try, even though I wasn’t sure I could pull it off.

I ended up trying the classic straight first. I used my flat iron and just straightened my hair out, like a lot. I added a little hairspray to keep it all in place. It was, you know, okay. It definitely made me feel a little more, like, put-together, I guess. But my hair has more wave than hers and I can’t seem to make it quite as straight as hers.

Next, I tried the bob. I don’t have real haircutting scissors, and I don’t know how to cut hair, so I ended up just kind of chopping at my hair with some regular scissors. This is super hard and I don’t think I’ll ever try it again, it’s a total disaster! I don’t think I can go out for a week.

Finally, after a week of hiding at home, I decided to just go for it and try the shag. I watched a few videos online and then just started cutting. It was actually kind of fun! I ended up with a lot of layers, and it was definitely messy, but I actually kind of liked it. It didn’t really look like Diane’s shag, but it was still kind of cool, I think.

So, yeah, that was my little Diane Keaton hair adventure. It was a fun way to change things up a little. And even though I’m not sure I totally nailed any of her looks, I still felt a little more stylish, I guess. Maybe I’ll try some of her other styles in the future, who knows?
