I started with a simple idea today, something about recreating a look I saw, specifically “kendal jener 17”. It sounded easy enough, I mean, how hard could it be, right? I gathered all my stuff – you know, the usual makeup, brushes, and a mirror. I felt pretty confident. I even took a “before” picture, just for kicks.

So, I dove right in, starting with the base. I applied my foundation, making sure it was all even. Then, I moved on to the eyes. This was where it got a bit tricky. I tried to copy the eye shadow, blending and layering like I’d seen in some tutorials. I kept looking back at the picture of “kendal jener 17”, trying to get it just right. It took a few tries, wiping it off and starting over a couple of times. I added some eyeliner, attempting to get that perfect flick at the end. It wasn’t easy, my hands were a little shaky.
- First attempt at the eyes – a bit of a mess.
- Second try – better, but still not quite there.
- Finally got the eyeliner right after a few deep breaths.
Moving on…
Next, I tackled the eyebrows. I filled them in, brushed them, trying to make them look full but not too crazy. It was a balancing act. Then, I put on some blush and added a bit of highlighter. I spent a good amount of time blending everything, making sure there were no harsh lines. This part was actually kind of relaxing. I finished up with the lips, choosing a color that I thought matched the picture. I lined my lips and filled them in, blotting a couple of times to get the right finish. It was a lot of trial and error, to be honest.
Finally, I took an “after” picture. Comparing it to the “before” and the picture of “kendal jener 17”, I realized it wasn’t a perfect match, but it was pretty darn close! I felt a sense of accomplishment, even though it took way longer than I expected. And the best part? I learned a bunch of new things about applying makeup. Who knows, maybe I’ll try another look tomorrow!
