Okay, so the other day I got it into my head that I really wanted to try out those Bella Freud suits. You know, the ones that all the cool people like Kate Moss wear? Yeah, those. They look so sharp and cool, I just had to see if I could pull one off, too.
So, first things first, I needed to figure out where to even find these suits. I did a little digging online – and let me tell you, it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be! Her own collection only goes up to a size 16, and I needed something a bit bigger. But, good news! I found out she did a collab with MS, and those suits go up to a size 24 and have a bit of stretch, which is perfect.
Next, I had to actually get my hands on one. I found a few online, and since I wanted to try them on in person, I went to several shops that sell her stuff. Trying them on was a whole experience in itself. They have this really cool, retro vibe, kind of like something out of an old movie. I tried on a few different colors and styles, and they felt surprisingly comfortable. And they look really great on me! I really like the style. But, just for fun, I decided to take some measurements to see how they compared to my usual clothes.
Here’s what I found:
- Shoulders: The suit was a bit broader in the shoulders than what I normally wear, which gave it that cool, structured look.
- Waist: It nipped in at the waist just right, giving it a nice shape without being too tight.
- Length: The jacket was a bit longer than my usual blazers, and the pants were the perfect length for heels.
After trying them on and doing all my measurements, I decided to go for it! I picked a really nice corduroy one in a deep, rich color. I can’t wait to wear it out and see what people think. Maybe I’ll even start my own little “fashion therapy” sessions like Bella does, where I get my friends to try on outfits and we talk about our feelings. Who knows! All I know is, I’m really excited about this suit. And I feel like I have found my style, I will use it as my daily dressing. But I also think I will try more different styles.
Anyway, I will let you guys know how it goes with the suit. It’s all about experimenting and finding what makes you feel good, right? This whole experience has been a lot of fun, and it just goes to show that sometimes, you’ve just got to try something new. Even if it’s a bit out of your comfort zone, you might just surprise yourself!
