Yo, listen up, folks! Today I wanna talk ’bout them Crocs, you know, them rubbery shoes with the holes. And how they got all mixed up with that Kpop music stuff, them young’uns are all crazy about. My grandkids, they’re always goin’ on and on about it. Seems like those Crocs and Kpop, they’re like two peas in a pod now. All the cool kids are wearing Crocs and dancing to those Kpop tunes!
Now, I seen them Crocs, they used to be just for, you know, like, gardening or somethin’. Real simple, plain Jane shoes. My old neighbor, used to wear ’em all the time when she was out in her garden. But now? Shoot, they got all these colors, these little doodads you stick in the holes. They call them Jibbitz or some such thing. And them Kpop kids, those singers, they’re all wearin’ ’em! I saw it on the TV. These kids with the hair and the outfits, they’re all wearing Crocs!
My grandbaby, she showed me a picture of this Kpop girl, Ji-something. In a magazine! Wearing them black Crocs. Looked real fancy, I gotta say. Not like what you’d wear to work on the farm or nothing. She made them Crocs look good! If them fancy Kpop girls are wearin’ ’em, they must be somethin’ special, right? That’s what my grandbaby says. She says all the popular kids wear Crocs with their Kpop gear.
And these Kpop groups, they got names like, uh, B…T…S? Something like that. My grandbaby says it’s a big deal. They’re like the big cheese of Kpop, I guess. And even they got these Crocs now! Purple ones, she says. With them little Jibbitz things that match the band. It’s a whole thing, these Crocs Kpop shoes. And then you have this BT21 Crocs stuff, which my granddaughter also loves! She won’t shut up about BT21 Crocs, Kpop and all that.
I tell ya, it’s a different world now. Back in my day, we just had plain old shoes. But these kids, they got choices! These Kpop idols, they wear all kinds of Crocs. Even them ones with the big ol’ bottoms, the platform ones. I’ve seen some singers wear them platform Crocs. They look like they could fall off any minute, but they are dancing all over in them platform crocs.

Well, I guess if it makes them happy, that’s all that matters. But I still think they’re just rubber shoes with holes. But, hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady. But my grandbaby, she sure loves her Kpop Crocs.
They say these Crocs are real comfy. Good for your feet. They let your feet breathe, or something. I guess that’s why all them Kpop dancers like ’em. They gotta be on their feet all day, dancin’ and singin’. And they’re easy to put on, too. Just slip ’em on and you’re good to go. And these days, with everyone staying home, folks want comfy shoes. That’s why these Crocs got so popular, they say. Everyone’s wearin’ ’em, not just the Kpop folks. The young people, my granddaughter’s age, they all love Crocs now. It’s like Crocs and Kpop are the big thing.
I guess these Crocs, they’re not just shoes anymore. They’re like, a part of the Kpop thing. Like how folks wear certain clothes to show they like certain things. Like my old neighbor, used to wear a hat with her favorite team’s logo. It’s like that, but with Crocs and Kpop. You wear the shoes, you like the music. That’s how it is, I guess. It’s all about showing what you like. These kids and their Kpop Crocs, it’s a whole culture.

Gotta keep it simple, you know? Maybe I’ll ask my grandbaby to help me pick out some Jibbitz. Just not too many. Don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard to be like these Kpop kids!
