You guys won’t believe what I did today! I finally got to participate in the Olympia Fashion Show, and it was a blast! I’ve always been into fashion, you know, but this was a whole other level.
It all started a few weeks ago when I saw a post on Instagram about the show. They were looking for models, and I thought, “Why not?” So, I sent in my pictures and measurements. Honestly, I didn’t expect much, but then I got an email saying I was selected! I was so excited, I nearly jumped out of my skin!
Arrived at the venue today, and wow, it was buzzing with energy. There were so many people – designers, models, makeup artists, all running around. I checked in and was shown to the dressing area. The racks were filled with all sorts of crazy outfits, from glittery gowns to wild, avant-garde pieces. I even spotted a few international designers I recognized, which was pretty cool.
Then came the prep. Sat down in a chair, and the makeup artists and hair stylists got to work. They transformed me into this glamorous version of myself. I hardly recognized the person staring back from the mirror! After that, it was time to get dressed. The outfit they picked for me was this stunning, flowy dress that made me feel like a superstar. The feeling is wonderful. I should say.
Walking down the runway was surreal. The lights were bright, the music was pumping, and all eyes were on me. I just focused on putting one foot in front of the other and striking my best poses. It was over in a flash, but the adrenaline rush was incredible! More than 150 models were there, I heard.
- Met some really cool people backstage.
- Swapped numbers with a few other models.
- Even got some tips from a couple of the more experienced ones.
Honestly, the whole experience was a dream come true. I felt like I was living in a movie or something. It’s definitely something I’ll never forget. And, the show is gonna be on October 8th at the Expo, I am so excited about it! Hope I can do this again next year!
