Okay, let’s talk about Flo-Jo nails. I’ve been obsessed with nail art lately, and you know who had the most iconic nails ever? Florence Griffith Joyner, the Olympic sprinter. I decided to give it a go myself.

First, I gathered all my nail stuff. I needed a ton of different colors, especially red, white, and blue, because those were Flo-Jo’s signature colors. I also got some tiny brushes for the details and some rhinestones because, you know, gotta have that bling!

I started by shaping my nails. Now, Flo-Jo had these super long nails, but I’m not that brave, so I went for a more manageable length. I filed them into a nice almond shape, which I think is pretty trendy right now.

Then came the fun part – the colors! I painted each nail a different color, just like Flo-Jo used to do. On one hand, I did red on my thumb, white on my index finger, and blue on my middle finger. On the other hand, I mixed it up a bit, just for fun. I mean it’s so cool to have different colors on each finger. I used at least five different colors to paint my nails.

  • Red
  • White
  • Blue
  • Gold
  • Pink

After the base colors, I added some details. This was the tricky part. I tried to recreate some of Flo-Jo’s designs, like the stripes and the little stars. It was tough, but I think I did okay. I also stuck on some rhinestones for extra sparkle. It’s a bit messy, but hey, practice makes perfect, right?

Finally, I sealed everything with a top coat to make it last longer. And that’s it! My Flo-Jo inspired nails. They’re not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. They remind me of how cool and stylish Flo-Jo was. She was the best runner and also a nail icon. She’s definitely one of my idols.

It took me a while, but it was a fun little project. Plus, it gave me a new appreciation for nail artists. It’s not as easy as it looks! Maybe next time, I’ll try a different Flo-Jo design. Or maybe I’ll just go crazy and do something totally different. Who knows? That’s the fun of nail art, right? You can do whatever you want!

My Own Flo-Jo Nails

So yeah, that’s my Flo-Jo nail adventure. It’s not a perfect job. But I learned a lot, and it was a fun way to pay tribute to a legend. Maybe I’ll become a nail blogger, haha.
