Okay, here’s my story about “hot models right now”:
So, I was scrolling through Instagram the other day, just killing time, you know? And I kept seeing these names pop up: Era Joshi, Bibi Breslin, Canlan Wang, Agel Akol. I’m like, “Who are these people?” Turns out, they’re models. Not just any models, though. They’re like, the models of the moment. The ones everyone’s talking about.
I started digging a little deeper. I checked out their profiles. I looked at some of their photoshoots. Man, these people are gorgeous! But it’s not just about looks. I read some articles, watched a few interviews. There’s more to them than just a pretty face.
I found out that Era Joshi, for instance, she just won “Best Model of the Year 2024”. And she’s been in magazines all over the world. That’s pretty impressive, right? Then there’s Bibi Breslin, who opened the Max Mara show, and Canlan Wang, who closed Proenza Schouler. I don’t follow fashion that closely, but even I know those are big deals.
What really caught my attention is how diverse this new generation of models is. It’s not just about being tall and thin anymore. There’s Adut Akech, who’s been “Model of the Year” twice and she’s from South Sudan. I watched a video of hers, and she’s got this presence, this charisma, that just draws you in. Then there’s this Canadian girl, I can’t recall her name, but she’s got a good following on TikTok. Who would’ve thought social media would be a way to break into the modeling world?

I even learned who Amrica Gonzlez and Sherry Shi are after I saw they are the top runway models in spring 2023.
