Okay, so I saw this documentary about Halston and Liza Minnelli, and let me tell you, it really got me thinking. I mean, here are these two huge stars, right? And they were like, best friends. It’s kinda crazy when you think about it.

So, I started digging around, just poking into their story. You know, how they met, what they did together. It turns out, they were a regular sight on the New York club scene back in the ’70s and ’80s. Always together, always dressed to the nines. Halston in his all-black outfits and sunglasses, and Liza in these sparkly dresses he designed just for her.
Then, I watched this interview with Frdric Tcheng, you know, the guy who made the documentary. He really painted a picture of their friendship. It was clear they weren’t just friends, they were each other’s rock. The documentary even had this part where they said Halston and Liza were each other’s greatest love. Like, wow.
I found out that Liza looked up to Halston like a father figure, and, after he died, she said he was like a big brother to her. She even remembered this quote of his, “You are only as good as the people you dress.” And man, did he dress some great people!
I kept going, reading more about their lives. It was sad to learn that Halston got sick and died in 1990. Liza was there for him, you know, through thick and thin. That’s what real friends do. He was always there for her, too, especially in developing her interest in fashion, and he was like a mentor to her.
I watched this old documentary about them and also some clips of interviews, and I read a lot of online stuff, and it got me thinking about my own friendships, you know? How important it is to have someone who’s always there for you, someone you can always count on.

Their story, it’s just… it’s really something. It makes you appreciate the good people in your life, you know? So yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to lately. Just reflecting on friendship and how important it is to cherish the people you have in your life. And wow, they had a really tight bond, that’s what touched me most.
