Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with “That ’70s Show” lately, especially Jackie Burkhart’s outfits. I mean, who could resist her bold, sassy style? I decided I just had to try and recreate some of her iconic looks for myself. This is how I made it.

First, I scoured the internet for pictures and inspiration. I spent hours looking at screenshots from the show, trying to analyze what made Jackie’s outfits so special. It was all about those bold patterns, bright colors, and, of course, the high-waisted everything. Pinterest was an absolute goldmine for this, by the way! I found so many cool ideas and mood boards.
Then came the fun part – shopping! I hit up all the local thrift stores and vintage shops, hoping to find some hidden gems. It was a real treasure hunt. I was looking for anything with that ’70s vibe – paisley prints, floral patterns, anything plaid, and of course, high-waisted jeans and skirts. Honestly, I felt like I was stepping back in time.
- High-waisted jeans: I finally found a pair of bell-bottom jeans that were just perfect. They were a bit worn out, but that just added to their charm.
- Bold tops: This was where I really had fun. I found a few brightly colored blouses with some seriously wild patterns. I even managed to find a crop top that looked like it could have been straight out of Jackie’s closet.
- Accessories: No Jackie outfit is complete without the right accessories. I picked up a few silk scarves. Scarves are essential to complete the look. I also got some big, hoop earrings.
After all that shopping, it was time to put the outfits together. I tried on different combinations, mixing and matching the pieces I had found. Some outfits worked better than others, but I was really happy with how they turned out. I felt like I had captured at least a little bit of Jackie’s style.
I even wore one of the outfits to a ’70s-themed party. Let me tell you, it was a hit! I got so many compliments, and people were asking me where I got my clothes. It was such a fun experience, and I definitely plan on wearing these outfits again.
This whole project was a blast. It was so much fun to dive into the fashion of the ’70s and try to recreate Jackie’s iconic style. It just goes to show that a little creativity and a lot of thrifting can go a long way. Also, I learned how to choose clothes. I just bought many clothes that I thought were beautiful before, but I didn’t know how to wear them. Now I know.

So, I finally realized that I could wear Jackie’s outfits.
