Okay, so I’ve been seeing red everywhere lately, and I’m not just talking about my bank account after a shopping spree. It’s this whole “red on red” fashion thing, and I figured, why not give it a shot? It’s bold, it’s daring, and honestly, I was a little scared, but I love red so much!

My Red on Red Experiment
First step: I went through my closet. Turns out, I have more red than I thought. I found a pair of high-waisted red trousers that I’d totally forgotten about, a silky crimson blouse, and even some killer red boots.
Next up: Trying them all on together. I started with the trousers and the blouse. At first, I felt like a walking fire hydrant, I can not say it is very good. But then I swapped the blouse for a more muted, kind of a wine-red sweater. Much better! It toned down the brightness and made the whole outfit feel a bit more…me. So I kept trying and trying to find the best wearing, it is a hard process, and I almost wanted to give up! But I didn’t!
The shoes: This was tricky. I love those red boots, but with the trousers, it was a bit much. Like, “look at me, I’m a giant red exclamation point” kind of much. So, I switched to some simple red flats. They still tied into the theme, but they didn’t scream for attention. My feet were so happy I chose them at last.
Accessories: I didn’t want to go overboard, so I kept it simple. A delicate gold necklace with a tiny red heart pendant and a pair of small gold hoops. Just enough to add a little something without being distracting. And of course a red bag! This is necessary.
Final touch: Makeup. I went with a classic red lip, of course, but kept the rest of my makeup pretty neutral. I didn’t want to compete with the outfit, you know? And it really works!

The Verdict
Honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked it! It felt empowering and confident. And the red lip makeup did add a point to my look, It also felt a bit like wearing a costume at first, but once I got used to it, it was actually pretty fun. I even wore it out to dinner with friends, and I got a bunch of compliments! Not sure if they were being serious, but hey, I’ll take it!
Would I do it again? Maybe! It’s not an everyday look for me, but for a special occasion or when I’m feeling particularly bold, I could see myself rocking red on red again. Maybe next time, I’ll try a red dress with a red leather jacket. Who knows? The possibilities are endless! I felt like I could have more try on red on red things. Hope my bank account won’t be empty after this.
So, yeah, that’s my little red on red adventure. If you’re thinking about trying it, I say go for it! Just remember to have fun and wear what makes you feel good. And maybe start with different shades of red, like I did. It helps!
