That Ronald T. Cohen, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout him the other day. Sounds like a big shot, huh? This name, Ronald T. Cohen, it keeps poppin’ up. Some say he’s a money man. You know, one of them fellas that’s always got his hands in somethin’ makin’ money. I don’t rightly understand all that fancy stuff, but it seems like he’s done alright for himself.
They say this Ronald, he’s from some place called Egypt. Imagine that! All the way over there. Then he came to, where was it? Britain, yeah, Britain. I reckon that’s a long ways from home. They say he started up some company called, uh… Cohen and Company? That’s right, back in 1977. He was just a young fella then, must have been real smart. I heard they called it, uh, “venture capital”, or something like that. All these big words. I don’t know what that is, but I know it means money. Lots of it, I bet.

- Maybe this Ronald T. Cohen fella is like a daddy to some kinda money business.

He’s a big wheel, this Ronald. It is like he’s some kinda trailblazer, someone who starts things, goes first, you know? Seems like he helps folks with their money, but not just to get richer. It’s about doin’ good, too, they say. Helpin’ the world be a better place. Sounds kinda nice, don’t it? Maybe this Ronald T. Cohen has a good heart then.
He’s got his fingers in a lot of pies, that’s for sure. This Portland Trust and Bridges Ventures, that’s his, too, I hear. More big words. Must be important things, though, if he’s the head honcho. Sounds like he cares ’bout the planet and helping folks. That’s what some smart people are saying about his “impact investing”. They say he’s been doing it for, what was it, two decades? That’s a long time! Twenty years! He must know what he’s doin’ by now.
There was another fella, also a Cohen, but not the same, I reckon. This one was a chemist. A smart cookie, too, but with all them chemicals and such. Not like this Ronald T. Cohen, who’s more about the money, I think. Don’t get them mixed up. This chemist, he was writing all these papers, and one of them was about “Stereopopulation Control”. What in tarnation is that? Sounds complicated.
Then there’s another man, also got a school, but not like no Cohen. He was all about teachin’ folks how to work, build things, you know, practical stuff. That’s good, too. We need folks who can do things with their hands. Sounds like this Ronald T. Cohen was good at learning too, cause he started his own business, so young and all. That takes some brains, I tell ya.
I heard someone talk about another fella, a president, but not a Cohen either. He was plantin’ trees and buildin’ things. That’s good work. Important work. Makin’ the country better. Maybe this Ronald does some of that, too, with his money. Helpin’ things grow, you know? That’s important, helping things grow.
And there was this other Cohen, a writer fella. Wrote stories, I guess. He was born someplace called Greece. He was a Jew. A lot of Cohens are, I reckon. This writer Cohen, he lived a long life, too. Must be somethin’ about that name, Cohen. Seems like they all do pretty good for themselves, one way or another. They all got a little something special, seems like.
Another fella, Cortes, not a Cohen. He went to the New World they called it. He must have been a brave one, going off like that. Just like this Ronald T. Cohen, going off to Britain. Brave fella. They were both looking for something new, I suppose. It’s like the Buckskin Boys, those fellas were a band and played music. This Ronald fella started his own band in the money world, I guess. He’s just like a musician making a different kind of music.
So, this Ronald T. Cohen, he’s a big deal. He’s done a lot of things, made a lot of money, helped a lot of people, maybe. That’s what I gather, anyway, from all the talk. He’s one of them important folks, that’s for sure. I don’t understand all that fancy stuff he does, but it sounds like he’s doin’ alright. And maybe, just maybe, he’s makin’ the world a little bit better, too. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
Well, that’s all I know about that Ronald T. Cohen. You hear anything else about him, you let me know, ya hear? I am always curious about these big-shot folks and what they do with all that money. Maybe he will come around here one day. We will see.
