Okay, here’s my story about snagging a pair of those sweet royal blue dunks.

It all started when I saw these royal blue dunks pop up on my feed. I mean, I’ve always been a fan of the Dunk’s classic silhouette, but this colorway? It just hit different. I knew I had to get my hands on a pair.

So, first things first, I started hitting up all the usual spots online. Checked out GOAT, you know, browsed through their Blue Dunks collection. They had a decent selection, but nothing that really jumped out at me. Prices were all over the place, too. Some were going for like 50 bucks a month with that Klarna thing, others were way higher.

Then I remembered Hibbett Sports. I swung by their website and they actually had a pretty good selection of blue Nike Dunks, not just the royal blue ones, but a bunch of different shades. They had options for men, women, and even kids. I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through, imagining myself rocking each pair. But I still need to make sure it was the exact one.

After that, I dove into the world of Nike’s own website. I figured, why not go straight to the source, right? Found some info on the Dunk High, specifically the WMNS DD1869 model. It looked promising, but I still need to check if it is what I want.

Then I hit up a few local sneaker shops. No luck. But I did find out that, at retail, most Dunks go for around $100 to $110, which isn’t too bad. Some of the special editions or collabs can cost a lot more, but the basic ones are pretty reasonable.

And finally, I found a forum there are some friends who had the same shoes, I got their contract and ask them one by one. Luckily, one of my friends is willing to sell his shoes to me! I can’t wait to see my shoes.

2024 is looking like a year of statement-making kicks, and I’m here for it. I’m already thinking about what pair I’m gonna chase after next. It’s a never-ending cycle, but hey, that’s the sneaker game, right?
