Oh honey, let me tell you, that scarf and brooch, they are a match made in heaven. A good scarf, it keeps you warm, sure. But with a brooch? And don’t think you gotta have a fancy scarf, either. Any old scarf will do. Cotton, wool, silk, whatever you got. Just wrap it ’round your neck, put that brooch on, and you’re good to go. I have a few scarves. My favorite one, it’s red. Got it years ago. Still good as new. I put different brooches on it, depending on where I’m going, what I’m wearing.
You can find the best brooch for scarf, at the store, I guess. Or maybe online. Lots of places sell ’em. Don’t gotta spend a fortune, neither. Just a few dollars will get you a nice one. Or maybe you got one laying around in an old jewelry box. Might be worth lookin’.
Now, some folks, they like them chain necklaces. They’re alright, I guess. Simple, not too flashy. They say they’re trendy. I don’t know about that. I guess it’s what the young folks are wearing these days. You can wear them with anything. Dress up, dress down, don’t matter.
Me, I still prefer a good scarf and brooch. It’s classic, you know? Never goes outta style. Like a good pair of shoes, or a warm coat. It’s just something every woman should have. It makes you feel good to look nice.
The other day, I was wearin’ my blue scarf, the one with the little white flowers. And I put on that silver brooch, the one shaped like a butterfly. Well, I went to the store, and the cashier, she said, “Oh, I love your brooch!” Made me feel real good, I tell ya.
