Alright, let’s talk about them Lucchese boots, the red ones. You know, the ones them fancy folks wear.

I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen a pair or two in my time. They say these boots are made with some fancy leather, somethin’ they call “burnished American Calf leather.” Sounds mighty fine, though I ain’t never seen a calf look that shiny. Must be some city-slicker calf, I reckon.
Now, they got all sorts of red Lucchese boots, I hear. Some for the women, some for the men. They even got ’em with ostrich leather! Can you imagine? A big ol’ bird on your feet! Them women’s boots, they call ’em “Boho Chic,” whatever that means. Sounds like somethin’ a young’un would say.
I seen some old brown Lucchese boots once, at a flea market. Said “San Antonio Made” right on ’em. Them were handmade, they said. Took a fella a long time to make them, I bet. Nowadays, they make some of these boots in other places, like Mexico and even China, they tell me. But they still good boots, from what I hear. Though I reckon nothin’ beats somethin’ made right here in America.
- Fancy Leather: They use somethin’ called “burnished American Calf leather.” Sounds expensive.
- Lots of Styles: Red boots, ostrich boots, men’s, women’s, all sorts.
- Handmade: Some of them old boots were handmade, right in San Antonio. Now they make ’em all over, but they still good.
They sellin’ these boots online, you know. On them computer things. Places like “Lyst,” they call it. And “eBay.” Always somethin’ new with these young folks. They got sales too, like on that “Black Friday.” That’s when they sell things cheaper, right before Christmas. I seen folks linin’ up for that, like they was gettin’ free money.
If you gonna get yourself a pair of these Lucchese boots, you gotta wear ’em in. That’s what they say. Gotta wear ’em a few hours at a time, so they get soft and fit your feet right. They say the leather will shape to your foot, like it was made just for you. Sounds like a lot of work, but I guess it’s worth it if you’re spendin’ that much money on boots.

Lucchese is a big company, been around a long time. They make all sorts of cowboy boots and western wear. They call it “luxury level” stuff. Means it costs a pretty penny, I reckon. But folks seem to like ’em. Must be somethin’ special about them boots.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ you need a pair of these red Lucchese boots. I got my own work boots, and they do me just fine. But if you got the money and you want somethin’ fancy, well, go ahead and get yourself a pair. Just make sure you wear ’em in good, so they don’t give you blisters. And don’t go stompin’ around in the mud with ’em, neither. These ain’t work boots, you know.
So that’s about all I know about them Lucchese boots red. They fancy, they expensive, and they made for folks with more money than sense, if you ask me. But hey, to each their own, I always say.
