Okay, so, I’ve been trying out this Hey Humans body lotion, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey. I first heard about it ’cause, well, Jada Pinkett Smith, right? And it sounded pretty cool – mostly plastic-free, super affordable, vegan, and all that good stuff. They say it’s like six bucks, which is a steal.

So, I got my hands on it. First thing I noticed, the packaging is pretty minimalist, which I dig. They weren’t kidding about the plastic-free thing. It feels different, in a good way.

Then I used it, the lotion itself? It’s pretty light, kinda runny, if I’m being honest. But, a little does go a long way. I just put a little bit on my hands and started rubbing it in. It absorbed pretty quickly, which is nice. No one likes that greasy feeling, you know? And my skin did feel softer afterward. I was like, “Okay, this is pretty good.”

    Here’s the breakdown:

  • Scent: Barely there. Which is good if you’re not into strong smells. It’s like the body wash, super light.
  • Feel: Light, absorbs quickly, not greasy.
  • Moisture Factor: It’s alright. My skin felt hydrated, but I wouldn’t say it’s like, super deep moisture, you know? I read somewhere that for really dry skin, you might want something with shea butter or cocoa butter, like CeraVe or Eucerin. This one’s more of a daily, light moisturizer, I guess. I also read that it contains Jojoba Oil, which is a kind of natural ingredient for moisturizing. I mean, it makes sense, ’cause my skin did feel softer.

I kept using it for a few days, and yeah, it’s a decent lotion. I mean, for six bucks, you can’t really complain. But, I did notice that it doesn’t last all day. Like, I’d put it on in the morning, and by the afternoon, my skin would feel a little dry again. Especially now, my skin gets super dry easily. So, I found myself reapplying it, which, you know, isn’t a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind. I also tried to find some reviews online. It says “Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for HEY HUMANS Moisturizing Body Lotion with Natural Ingredients Jojoba Oil Clean, Vegan” on some websites. Looks like I need to do more research and compare it with other brands.

Also, I get why some people might love it. Especially if you have oily skin or live in a humid place, this might be perfect. I read online that sometimes moisturizer isn’t even necessary if you are in a humid climate. But for me, with my sometimes dry skin, especially in the winter, I think I need something a little more heavy-duty. I saw somewhere online that this lotion creates a protective film on the skin to trap moisture, so maybe it will work better in summer. I’ll give it a try then.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with the Hey Humans lotion so far. It’s not bad, it’s just not the best thing I’ve tried. But hey, for the price and the whole eco-friendly thing, it’s worth a shot. If you’re looking for a simple, everyday lotion, and you’re not dealing with super dry skin, this could be your jam.

Oh, and one last thing – they say it’s sulfate and paraben-free. Which, to be honest, I don’t know a whole lot about, but I know it’s a good thing, right? Less of the bad stuff, more of the good stuff. That’s always a plus in my book.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. Hope this helps someone out there!
