Okay, so I decided to give the Diane Keaton hairstyle a try. You know, she’s been a style icon for like, forever, and I’ve always loved her layered look.
First, I had to do a bit of digging. Diane’s style has changed a bit over the years, going from shorter bobs to those longer, more textured ones. I spent some time looking at pictures from different periods to see what I liked best. I wanted something that felt like “her” but also worked for me, you know?
Then, I started playing around with some hairstyle apps. There are a bunch of free ones out there, like YouCam Makeup and Perfect365. They let you try on different styles using your own photo. It was kind of fun to see how different cuts looked on me without actually having to cut my hair. It’s a little rough around the edges but it gave me some ideas.
After messing around with the apps, I started thinking about what would actually work for my hair. I’ve got pretty thick hair, and I know from experience that it can get a little heavy. So, I figured layers would be key. Long layers, maybe, to keep some length but also get that soft, face-framing thing Diane always has going on. Or maybe a textured lob – that’s a long bob, for those who don’t know – with some layers to give it movement and keep it from looking too blocky.
I also thought about maybe trying a wig. I saw that this place, Paula Young, has some Diane Keaton-style wigs. I thought that could be a fun way to experiment without committing to a big chop.
