Alright, let me tell you about this… what’s it called? Werle fashions, yeah, that’s it. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Don’t know much about fancy, but I know what I like, and I reckon some of these clothes, well, they ain’t half bad.
I heard tell that back in the day, like, in them fifties, all them movie stars, the women, you know, they liked wearing this Werle stuff. Big-time movie stars! Guess it made ‘em feel pretty, like they was somethin’ special. Can’t blame ‘em, I suppose. Every gal wants to feel like a queen now and then.
Now, you can still find these Werle clothes, if you know where to look. They got them old ones, the “vintage” they call ‘em, and some new ones too. Scattered all over the world, they say. Shops, boutiques, whatever. And they ship ‘em everywhere! Imagine that, a dress from way over yonder, showin’ up at your door. Heard they got dresses, gowns… evenin’ wear, I think they said. Stuff for parties, I guess. You know, the kind where you put on your best and try to look all spruced up.
- They got this Daniel Werle, he’s the main man, I reckon. Tony, some folks call him.
- Then there’s dresses… lots of dresses. For fancy evenin’s, they say.
- And you can find ‘em all over the world, in them shops, and they’ll ship ‘em right to ya.
I seen some pictures, too. Folks pinin’ ‘em up on somethin’ called “Pinterest.” Lots of ideas about this Werle fella and his clothes. Seems like he’s been around a good long while, makin’ folks look good. One dress, they found it in a warehouse, in New Orleans. A place called “Hollywood South,” imagine that! Don’t know the story behind it, but it makes ya wonder, don’t it? Who wore it? Where did they go? Maybe danced the night away in it, who knows?
Now, some folks say fashion is just for young folks. But I don’t buy that. I seen ladies, older ladies, 70 years young and more, lookin’ just as stylish as any young gal. It ain’t about age, it’s about how you wear it, how you feel in it. You can take them fancy trends and make ‘em your own. Wear what makes you happy, that’s what I say. Classic stuff, plain colors, maybe a little pattern here and there, somethin’ that flows nice… that’s what looks good on anybody, no matter how many birthdays they’ve had.
And then there’s the weird stuff. You know, the clothes that make you scratch your head and say, “What in the world…?” Designers, they like to do that sometimes. Call it “art” or somethin’. Experimentin’, tryin’ new things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don’t. But hey, that’s what makes it interestin’, right?
There’s this brand, SUNCOO, started by a lady named Stella in Paris. She likes fashion, always has. Travels around, gets ideas, makes clothes for women who wanna look good. Elegant, they call it. French style, I guess. It ain’t Werle, but it’s the same idea, makin’ clothes that make you feel good about yourself.
So, can old ladies wear trendy clothes? Course they can! Anybody can wear anything they want, long as they feel good in it. That’s the whole point, ain’t it? Fashion ain’t about followin’ rules, it’s about feelin’ good, lookin’ good, and bein’ yourself. Whether it’s Werle or somethin’ else, you wear what makes you happy. That’s the best fashion advice you’ll ever get, and it comes from a plain ol’ woman who knows a thing or two about life, even if she don’t know much about fancy clothes.
