That North Face, my goodness, they are somethin’ else. You know, I seen their stuff everywhere. My grandson, he’s got one of them North Face jackets. Says it keeps him warm when he’s out there playin’ in the snow. He says, “Grandma, it’s the best!” I just nod and smile. Kids these days, they know all about these fancy brands.
So, I heard they got this new thing goin’ on, a campaign, they call it. Seems like they always got some kinda campaign. They want folks to buy their stuff, I reckon. And they put pictures and videos out there, tryin’ to get folks all excited about it. This time, it’s called something like, “We Play Different.” Sounds kinda silly to me. Playin’ is playin’.
I don’t understand it too much, but they say that they aren’t like other brands who make clothes to play in. These North Face folks are special, they claim. They want people to go outside, do things, climb mountains, or whatever. They are always pushing people to go outside and do things, that’s the gist of this North Face campaign.
They talk about being different, goin’ your own way, not following the crowd. Well, that’s all fine and dandy, I guess. But folks have been doin’ that forever. Nothin’ new there.
They made a big fuss, with videos and everything. I seen one where folks are climbin’ up a big icy mountain. Makes my knees hurt just lookin’ at it. But I guess some people like that kinda thing. This North Face campaign will surely get them.
Then there’s another one they are doin’, “Have You Ever.” What in the world does that even mean? Have you ever what? They don’t finish the question. It’s confusing, this new campaign of theirs.
- Have you ever climbed a mountain?
- Have you ever slept under the stars?
- Have you ever worn a North Face jacket?
That’s what I think they’re gettin’ at. They want you to think about doin’ all these adventurous things, I suppose. And of course, they want you to be wearin’ their clothes while you’re doin’ it. That’s how they make their money, sellin’ those fancy jackets and boots. This is what they want to do with their campaign.
They’re showin’ off all their new clothes too. Got a whole bunch of new jackets, and pants, and boots. All kinds of colors. They say these new clothes are part of their history, their DNA. Whatever that means. Sounds important, I guess. They want folks to buy them, that’s for sure. To help push that North Face campaign.
It’s all over the place now, this campaign. On the TV, on the computer, even on those little phones everyone’s always lookin’ at. They want to make sure everybody sees it. They’re puttin’ it out there, tryin’ to get folks interested in their stuff. They want everyone to be part of this North Face campaign thing.
I seen some folks ain’t too happy about it, though. They’re sayin’ North Face is tryin’ to push some kind of message, somethin’ about bein’ different and acceptin’ everyone. I don’t know all the details, but it seems like it’s stirrin’ up a bit of a fuss. People have always argued and fought, they will never be satisfied, no matter what kind of campaign.
Some other companies, they tried somethin’ similar, and folks got mad at them too. It’s a mess, I tell ya. People gettin’ upset about clothes and messages. It’s all beyond me. I prefer the old times campaign.
North Face, they ain’t backin’ down, though. They’re stickin’ to their guns. They believe in what they’re doin’, I reckon. They think it’s important to be different, to be yourself. That’s what they’re sayin’ with this whole campaign thing. This North Face campaign will be big, that’s what I think.
They got all these different collections, they call ’em. Six of ’em, I think. Different kinds of clothes for different kinds of activities. Climbin’ clothes, hikin’ clothes, campin’ clothes. You name it, they got it. All under that North Face name, all part of their big campaign.
They want to explore another dimension, that’s what one of their new things is sayin’ about this campaign. Sounds like somethin’ out of a science fiction movie. I don’t understand it, but maybe the young folks do. They’re always talkin’ about that kinda stuff.
They are tryin’ to be all rebellious, too. Like teenagers. Sayin’ they’re different, they don’t follow the rules. That’s what this North Face campaign is all about. Well, everyone wants to be different, don’t they? Nothin’ new there, either. Everybody wants to be cool.
This whole campaign thing is gonna be goin’ on all fall, they say. So we’re gonna be hearin’ about it for a while. Seein’ those pictures and videos, hearin’ those slogans. “We Play Different,” “Have You Ever.” Over and over again. It’s gonna be everywhere, this North Face campaign.
Well, I guess that’s just the way it is these days. Companies tryin’ to sell their stuff, makin’ a big fuss about it. This North Face campaign is no different. It’s all about the money, at the end of the day. They want you to buy their clothes, and they’re gonna do whatever they can to make that happen. But their clothes do look warm, I have to say that.
