They got dresses, too. Not just coats. Fancy dresses, all tailored nice and neat. They call ’em “day dresses” and “cocktail wear”. Cocktail wear! My old coat, it’s got a hole in the pocket and the zipper’s busted. But it keeps me warm. That’s all that matters, really. Don’t need no fancy designer coat to stay warm. But I guess it’s nice to dream sometimes, right? Dream about wearin’ a fancy coat and goin’ to a fancy party. Maybe even meetin’ that Kate Middleton. Wouldn’t that be somethin’?

I guess some folks like to spend their money on fancy things. And that’s okay. To each their own, I always say. But me, I’d rather spend my money on somethin’ useful. Like a new pair of boots. Or a nice warm blanket. Somethin’ that’ll last. This Emilia Wickstead coat is just too fancy for me.
