Okay, so, I’ve been obsessed with old photos lately, and I stumbled upon this iconic picture of Bianca Jagger from, like, the ’70s. You know, the one where she’s in that white suit? It’s just so cool and different. I thought, “I wanna try that.”

So, I started digging around to find out more about her look. It was this white Yves Saint Laurent suit she wore when she got married in 1971. A blazer and a long skirt, with a big hat and a veil. It wasn’t a typical wedding dress, you know? That’s what made it so special. I read somewhere that she was always into tailored clothes that were kind of daring for the time.
First, I needed to find a white blazer. I searched through my closet, but no luck. So I went to a few thrift stores. I found one, I wanted a more fitted style, so I took in the sides a bit with my sewing machine, which was a challenge, but it worked out okay. But after all those works, I tried it on. Unfortunately, it did not match my expectation.
Then, the skirt. I already had a long white skirt that I hardly ever wear, so that was easy. It wasn’t exactly like hers, but it had a similar vibe. It was a plain one, not the most exciting piece in my wardrobe, but it did the job.
The hat was the hardest part. I couldn’t find anything like Bianca’s, so I got creative. I bought a simple wide-brimmed sunhat and some white fabric from a craft store. I draped the fabric over the hat and pinned it to make it look like a veil. It wasn’t perfect, but it gave the general idea.
Finally, I put it all together. I added some simple white heels and minimal makeup. When I looked in the mirror, I felt pretty good! It wasn’t an exact replica, but I captured the essence of Bianca’s style. It felt bold and chic, and I definitely stood out.

I wore the outfit to a small party, and people actually liked it! They said I looked like I stepped out of a vintage magazine. It was fun to channel that ’70s energy and try something totally different. I think I will try another style next time!
So, that’s my little fashion adventure. It was a fun project, and it reminded me that fashion can be about experimenting and expressing yourself, not just following trends. This Bianca Jagger look, it’s timeless, really.
